Keypad

Alarm keypads work by sending commands to an alarm system and displaying status information from the system. Zone faults and other information are shown on the display. Arming commands are entered at the keypad and sent to the panel for processing. Keypads act as both inputs and outputs. There are many reasons why a user might have an alarm keypad for their security system. If they have a hardwired panel, they will need to have a keypad for operating the system and for performing panel programming. For these systems, a user will want a keypad that is capable of performing installer-level programming. They may also want a keypad that doubles as a wireless receiver so that they can use wireless sensors with their alarm system. Both wired and wireless alarm keypads exist. Some keypads can even be operated using a touchscreen. However, a user must make sure that the keypad they purchase is compatible with their alarm system.

Door Sensor

Door sensors are also known as entry sensors, contact sensors, or window sensors. Sensors are an important security feature. The purpose of a sensor is to immediately trigger an alarm. These sensors help the first res-ponders with an investigation by knowing points of entry or sensor activity.

Motion Sensor

The main purpose of motion detection is to sense an intruder and send an alert to your control panel, which alerts your monitoring center. Sensors work when you're not home or when you tell the system you are not there.

Glass Break Sensor

Glass break detectors complement door and window sensors by monitoring sound or vibration. When they detect the frequency or shock waves a alarm is sounded immediately.

Sirens

Siren alarm systems work by generating a loud, piercing siren sound when they're triggered by intruders in and around your home. When they're set off, some Alarm sirens also emit flashing lights to attract even more attention to your property. “Siren” means any audible noise similar to that which must be sounded by an authorized emergency vehicle under the conditions set forth in Section 21055 of the California Vehicle Code.
